Aerial photography in Alaska, May 21st

Aerial photo of a school bus on the Homer Spit, Homer, Alaska.

This post contains a selection of interesting photos from a recent aerial photoshoot from my powered paraglider (paramotor). I launched in the morning from the Homer Spit in Homer, Alaska and flew across Kachemak Bay for about 45 minutes of flying around the mountains before returning to the spit. A fellow paramotorer, Bruce Petska, joined me on the morning flight and now you can take a little visual tour yourself. Enjoy.

    Hey Scott,

Love your photography. I found your site a couple of years ago when it was linked from some surfing site (maybe gulfster.com ?). The “polar surfing” is amazing. I grew up on the Florida Gulf Coast, and now live in Virginia, so I can’t even begin to fathom surfing in temps that cold! I come back every once in a while to see what’s new.
I’ve wanted to go to Alaska from the time I was about 14 (I’m an old guy now!) when I read a book about a guy who homesteaded there.
Maybe I’ll make it up there one day and look you up!
Your photography helps me keep that goal in mind.
